What We Believe
Narrow Road Christian fellowship is traditional and conservative in our theological beliefs. In obedience to Jesus Christ, our focus is making disciples, followers of Jesus Christ. We do this by following the early churches commitment to Bible teaching, Prayer, fellowship, and the breaking of Bread (Acts 2:42). This is all done by the power of the Holy Spirit and His work through His people.
God
We believe there is one God, the uncreated Creator, eternally existent in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His vicarious, propitious, and atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His future, imminent, personal return in power and great glory at the end of the age.
The Bible
We believe the Bible to be inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings.
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Godhead, Who came forth to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Christ for ministry, service and witness. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is our abiding Helper Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, as recorded throughout the New Testament, which includes the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit in the Church.
Salvation
Jesus Christ came to reconcile us with God. He lived a life without sin and willingly died on the cross to pay the penalty for our transgressions. God raised him from the dead and now, by grace, offers, as a free gift, eternal life to all who follow Christ, by faith, as their Lord and Savior. That is why salvation can be found in Christ alone.
Mankind
We believe all people are sinners by nature and by choice and, therefore, are under condemnation. We believe God, by the Holy Spirit, regenerates and forgives those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit God, enables said believers to live godly lives.
Resurrection
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the unsaved—those who are saved unto the resurrection of life and those who are unsaved unto the resurrection of damnation.
The Body of Christ
We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ—called the Body of Christ.
